    You might ask : "Why not just use some headphones directly connected into my computer ?" Well that can work but often times those onboard sound cards have very high amounts of delay which would make any kind of serious music production impossible !
    The bottom line : if you want a professional sounding result then investing in a good quality audio interface with low latency capabilities should be considered an absolutely must do item on every musician's shopping list ! Trust me -- It makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE !!!
